Today we take the trip east down the highway to Latrobe to take on the Demons, never, ever an easy task!
Last weekend saw some crazy weather with torrential rain all day, the first time we have encountered those kinds of conditions in quite some time! Unfortunately, the senior team couldn’t get the chocolates against East Devonport, which was not from a lack of trying either. So, the boys will be super keen to turn things around and jump back on the winners list today.
Our annual Pink Day fundraiser and celebrations went off last weekend as all four Penguin teams wore bright pink socks, (thanks to Sportsco Kingston) and what a very successful day it was. Thank you to all that bought tickets and supported the luncheon. Those that attended had a great afternoon out in the warmth and dry of the clubrooms as we were able to raise some solid funds for those suffering and affected from Breast Cancer in our community. Also, how good was ‘The Shave Off?!” Thanks to those brave fellas, James King, Chris McDonald, Will Huxtable, Toby Ray, Norrie Hayes and Daniel Baldock, that put their hands up to Shave off their well-groomed beards along with some heads. A Huge effort and thanks goes to Sarge who agreed to cut off his massive, platted beard if we raised an extra $500, the tin was passed around and he managed to collect an outstanding figure of $600!!! A massive thank you to all who contributed to such an important day for our club and of course our small community!
We still have tickets available for an afternoon luncheon with Mick Malthouse and Alister Nicholson at Pirtek Dial Park on July 28, which isn’t far away!! Tickets are $60 each or tables of ten can be bought for $500 at Lanes IGA express Supermarket Penguin. This will be an event you won’t want to miss.
Lock in/save the date for Our PFC ball on August 24 in the clubrooms following our last home game for the home and away roster. This is set to be a fantastic night as Holly is already busy organising the event.
If you have been living under a rock, Thursday teas are available at the club each Thursday after training for ONLY $10!! Call in for a cheap, delicious feed and a cold beer. Windram has his famous meat tray raffle and now the very popular ‘Doggsy Sack’ filled with goodies each week!

Our club website, penguinfc.com.au is always worth a look to keep yourself updated on what’s happening around the club, including our online store, with a large range of PFC merchandise available for you to purchase. You can also find us and keep updated on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Team app.

See you at West Park next weekend as we take on the Dockers.

Only 3 more home games this year!!
