Welcome all Sponsors, Supporters & Life Members to Dial Park for our annual Pink Day fundraiser.
Today we see our Two Blues branding pink socks while take on the East Devonport Swans and will be seeking to continue their good form built over the last month across all grades.
Kicking off the day our U18’s will be looking to seek revenge after suffering a narrow loss to East Devonport in round two. Our boys have been battling hard over the last month and after a late last quarter blitz by Latrobe seen our boys go down by a 25 points. Some standout performances from Jordon Smith (4 goals) Ben Callaghan, Cameron Maher and Jalen Farrelly. With the bye last week our Two Blues should be fresh and ready to hit the ground running.
Brock and his reserves have also been battling hard and struggling to get the same 21 on the park each week but continue to hanging in games each week. After being in the game all day against Latrobe our boys just could not get the job done with the day ending in a Draw. Yet another consistent game from Randall Hardy who no doubt caught the eye of Senior Coach,Chris Mcdonald. Other standouts on the day were Fraser Eaton, AJ Fowler and Ben Callaghan who played his second game for the day. Brock and his boys will be looking to continue this form into today’s game.
With the return of star Liam Viney from State duties, last week the drought was finally broken for our senior boys who managed to string four quarters together to get the job done over Latrobe. A consistent effort right across the ground from all 21 players was a key factor in getting the job done. Standout performances from Jack Templeton , Liam Viney and Jay VanEssen who were all instrumental and led from the front all day.
In our women’s game which was held under lights in tricky and greasy conditions – our ladies fought hard all night but where ultimately not strong enough for a highly skilled and well drilled Demons outfit. Standout performances from Simone Turner, Christy Duncan & Lila Wijesingha-Frohmader.
We encourage you all to join us in our clubrooms after the Senior game to support all who have volunteered to shave their heads/beards to raise money for such a great cause.
We wish all our teams all the best luck for today’s games.
