Round 7, is upon us and we find ourselves on the road to Devonport to take on a Magpies outfit that has found their mojo and will be a tough assignment for all of our teams.

Reflecting on last week all of our teams had a red hot crack but all fell short at the end of the day.
Our women started off the day with coming up against a well drilled and skilful Wynyard outfit and although our women battled hard all day they eventually went down by 53 points. Maddi Duncan, Demi Thomas & Simon Turner led the way and played great games.
The under 18’s continued to play some great footy but also found themselves up against a skilful and well drilled Wynyard outfit. We are seeing some great signs and the consistency of our young up and coming player is becoming better and better each week – this is exciting for our club. Cam Maher played a standout game and to top it off decided to lock in the 3 votes by taking possibly the “Mark of the Year “ in front of the Two Blues can bar…. Unfortunately for Cam the can bar was empty but the small crowd did appreciate his mark.
Our Reserves come up against arguably the benchmark of the competition and where unlucky to be beaten late in the game. Brock and his boys battled hard all day with Rhys Johns, Aiden Lang-Hughes keeping the team in the game with some solid defensive marks and pressure tackling. These boys where backed up by the ever consistent Ben Hext around the ground and young up and comer Jake Degroot being a focal point up forward slamming home 4 goals. The boys are looking to bounce back this week and get back on the winners list.
The last game of the day seen our Senior group come up against one of the best teams in the competition with the result not going our way with the end result having our boys go down by 83 points. The boys started well and matched it with Wynyard around the ground but could not take the opportunities in front of goal ending the day goalless. Sam Mawer, Will Huxtable and Will Dau led the way all day proving to be clear standouts. With some great signs over the last few weeks our boys will be keen to put up a good showing against an in form Devonport Magpies outfit.
Once again thankyou to all our supporters, sponsors & volunteers that help keep all our teams on the park each and every week.
