Today we are on the road to Girdlestone Park as we face off with the East Devonport Swans. This is a must win for our senior team if they are to have any chance of keeping their finals chance alive and if our last encounter with the swans is anything to go by then this will certainly be a challenge!
Last weekend against the Dockers we were tested for depth as we had over 6 outs of the senior team due to injury that really tested our depth. In the reserves, Matt Carrolan made his way out of retirement to help field a side, Josh Donavan also returned to the side after many years living in Queensland and snagged a few goals also. Ben Hardy returned to the seniors and managed to kick some fantastic goals, one being a beauty from the can bar pocket at west park as he does best. Toby Skene has been in fine form and he will be looking to continue to be influencial through the midfield. Brad Green and Finbar have also been solid down back all year and will be aiming to again make an impact on the game today. Our under 18’s put together a great game last week, narrowly going down that was a super effort considering each week we are tested for numbers to get a side on the ground. Jesse French returned to the team and was on fire bagging 5 goals.
The club ball last weekend was well attended with great numbers rolling up.  Nicole certainly did a fantastic job organising the event and had the clubrooms looking absolutely stunning for the evening. All that attended had a great night as did the lovely Leanne Templeton as she celebrated her 21st birthday!
Next weekend all are looking forward to a well deserved break for the long weekend to unwind, rest the bodies and prepare for our next game against the giants at home as we turn pink for the day.
