The Penguin Football Club has been contacted by Martin Fry on behalf of Sports Medicine Australia’s Tasmanian State Council. Within Tasmania they are looking at running a range of courses to upskill the volunteers within your club. Attached (below) is a flyer for an upcoming level 1 sports trainer course in Ulverstone. Don’t miss this great opportunity to get your volunteers training with the skills to provide a safe playing environment within your club. Courses are only offered a few times a year on the North West Coast so get in quick so you don’t miss out. Information about prerequisites are included on the flyer. If you have a number of people within your club who require the Provide First Aid, let me know and we will aim to schedule a course. SMA has recently brought Remote First Aid on scope and will providing the added benefit of how to support athletes in a remote or isolated situation at their first aid courses.

The club are keen to have more trainers and would pay for anyone interested to attend the course. For enquiries, please contact Toby Ray, Secretary – penguinfootballclub@gmail.com
